River, which is known as a great bass producing river. The lower
end of Pickwick is legendarily known for it's smallmouth bass fishing.
The Tennessee River offers a little of everything for anglers.
Whether you enjoy fishing an open- reservoir, small creeks, or pure
river fishing, there is a spot for you on the river somewhere.
In late winter it is an excellent time to fish the Tennessee River,
since there are less people out and larger bass tend to bite more
during the colder seasons.
Pickwick Lake - Known for its smallmouth giants,
Pickwick Lake is another excellent fishing location. Again, fishing
in winter is ideal, though you won't catch as many fish during
the winter on the lake, the ones you do catch are likely to be
large fish. January and February are great months to hit this lake.
Smallmouth bass aren't the only fish to be found in this lake,
it also has a fairly good population of Largemouths as well. Try
out the bottom of creeks and channels in midwinter to catch the
largemouths.
